Upside down and inside out!!

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I haven't forgotten our blog!!  Our lives have been turned a bit upside down as we found out that the house we are renting was forclosed on and sold on Aug. 3rd.  This in turn, will eventually turn us inside out in that we will move...we think...somewhere....  We have known since we moved to Hutto that this was a good resting place, but not the place for us to settle down.  But thinking you have a year and then thinking you have a matter of weeks or possibly days, makes the stress level increase a bit.  With school approaching quickly, and huge decisions about where to plant our family that will most benefit the kids, and to buy or not to buy, every day brought a new adventure.  Thankfully the people who bought the house we live in are willing to work with us and give us the time we need.  But that didn't take away the anxiety of choosing a home and schools for the upcoming school year...especially with Jason starting kinder...and not wanting to uproot them a few weeks after school starts!  Our thoughts on a daily basis were and still are...AHHHHHH!!!  We are working through logistics of buying a home while already owning another and all the other joys,  but life still goes on and things happen for a reason...RIGHT??!!  WE have said lots and lots of prayers and will continue to do so as we make life changing decisions.

In the mean time, Jason had a fun visit from a preschool buddy from Nampa.  Nicholas's uncle lives here in Hutto and they came down for vacation, so he spent some hours at our house.   As kids always do, they picked right up where they left off and had a blast playing legos, cars, video games and playing in the water outside!

In the mitst of all the craziness we nearly forgot our Anniversary!  But how can you forget something that BIG?!!  It was definately not because it's not important, but, well you know how life can get crazy!  We celebrated 16, yes 16 amazing years of  marraige!  We have been so very blessed in those 16 years, and thru thick and thin we have remained best of friends.  We have built each other up and complimented each other in so many ways in our lives.  I can't express how blessed I am to have such an amazing man and strong priesthood holder in our home! Grant is an amazing Dad and supportive husband and I LOVE HIM!!  Thanks for the great 16 years...that I can't ever forget!:)

We headed back to Waco  a few weeks ago, to really get to the zoo this time, and it was a blast!  HOT, but fun!  Blake taught Jason how to get the semi trucks to honk their horns, so that kept them entertained the whole way there.

Then last weekend we had a chance to go play on Lake Travis about an hour from here. We went with about 20 other families from our ward and had an amazing time.  They rented 2 party boats and there were about 100 peaople all together and we had 4 hours on the lake.  It was beautiful, and oh so relaxing!  There were 2 big water slides and diving docks on each boat.  We just hung out in the water (which was perfect temp!), BBQed, and enjoyed all the great people we were with!  The kids had a great time, and despite the fact that we had to miss McCall this year, we had our mini vacation on the lake!
