Our Jason is 5 and we can hardly believe it! He is such a ray of sunshine in our lives and can always make you laugh when you think there's nothing left to laugh about. He's got such a fun little personality, and is so dang smart that he blows us away at times. He's got a vocabulary like no other 5 year old I know (and of course I'm not bias:) and he seems to even put words in the right context. Jason loves to play with his sisters, but jumps on the chance to play ball or wrestle with the boys. But the thing Mom loves best is that Jason is still very cuddly and loves to be at home. We are sooo blessed to have this little man in our home and love him so very much! He was just what we needed to round out our family!!
On Jason's birthday he woke up early (not excited of course) and we had an early birthday party before Mom and Dad headed off to work. Jason got to open presents, ride his new BIG bike, and Dad made his favorite, German pancakes, for breakfast.
Jason asked for some "real tools".
The clothes loot!
Here's that BIG bike!
He then got to go to his friend Luke's house and Luke's mom was nice enough to make a fun day of it with a slip-n-slide, cupcakes and presents at her house. Then that night we had Jason's favorite dinner, meatloaf and peaches, (no veggie requested...go figure), blew out candles, and were off to grab Luke and head to the bowling alley.
Look like trouble?!
I think Jason would chalk it up to a very eventful and fun birthday! Happy birthday to our big 5year old! WOW!
