Happy 6th Birthday to Jason!! Our littlest buddy is growing up! His birthday this year was all about Bey Blades! What is that you ask, well, they are these little tops that you lauch with a zip cord and they battle in a "stadium", and the last one spinning wins. This is quite the rage for Jason right now and he and his buddy can be heard rooms away yelling, "3...2...1...LET 'ER RIP!!" Here is his stadium and a "battle" with his sisters.
Jason got nearly a whole week of celebrating this year! We sang Happy Birthday and had cake while Grandma and Grandpa Grant, Aunt Katie and Beckham were here, then on his birthday had Birthday breakfast in bed of German Pancakes and birthday dinner of orange rolls (and other things not requested :), and we attended the movie night at the pool in our neighborhood.
Then on Friday we had the birthday party with all the buddies. (Jason's first friend party). Jason picked all the games. We had water balloon toss and fight, balloon pop, with candy inside, and a dance contest (this is something that we do at the end of movies that we watch as a family and I was just joking when I suggested it, but Jason thought it was a great idea...a few of his friends thought we were crazy though!!). Then we did a scavenger hunt where all the boys found pieces to their own Bey Blades and we ended with a huge battle with them all! Mom attempted to make a Bey Blade cake only to have it split down the middle a few minutes before the guests arrived, but I get and E for effort, and I don't think anyone cared but me. Thank goodness for 6 yr. old boys!!
Grant told them he'd give them an award for the best cake face...here's Jason's.
He also got this monster water gun that, when full, he can hardly hold:)!
Jason is still our cuddle bug and is growing to be an amazing little boy! He always makes us laugh and rounds out our family very well! We would definately not be complete without him and love all his hugs and smiles. He is ready for fun and is becoming quite the reader. Jason never ceases to amaze us with his "wisdom" and love that he gets the jokes and can laugh with the best of us. We love you Jason, our big 6 year old boy!!
