Dec. 11-Feb. 12 Catch-up

Thought I would take some time to catch up on the last few months.  There has been a lot going on, and chances are I will miss something big, but here goes.  The weather this winter has been crazy, so mixed with a  few colder days, we had some of these "shorts" days.  We love those!!  And I love to see my kiddos enjoying time together!  Love big brother acts like this!!
Paige got to do a science fair project and this is what the final product looked like...which brand of bubble gum blows the biggest bubble? (Hubba Bubba won by a land slide:))

Blake wa a proud brother to find Jason like this (in Blake's wrestling head gear).
The next few picture I took on my phone, so they are little, and making them bigger they get blury, so sorry! Get out your magnifying glasses!:)
Megan had her Christmas choir concert (she is in the stripes on the bottom row...imagine that!).  She did a great job, and it was fun to see her up there!
This picture may not be worth it, but her choir also performed for Vetran's Day and i was honored to go to this one!  It was a great way to honor our vetrans, and I don't want tot forget it, even if I can't see who's in the picture!
We were invited to 2 different New Year's parties by families inour ward, so we divided our night and had a great time celebrating and ringing in 2012!!  these pictures are at the Herrera's (Paige's primary teacher's).

This is a bit out of order, but we had a fun ward Christmas party in a barn and had a fun dance.  Paige represented our family well on the dance floor!  She knew all the steps to the line dance.  It was fun to watch her!! (she is in a white t-shirt with her hands on her hips)
I had to take this picture because it was so funny that as Paige sat resting on the bench a boy from her primary clas sat down next to her and talked and talked to her.  Paige just has that friendly way about her that people are just drawn to her!  Love that about Paigey!
We took Jason into a Minute Clinic place for Pink eye one day and ended up having to go to a pediatric cardiologist because they found an odd heart murmur.  In the end the Dr. said that it was very innocent and nothing at all was wrong with this boy's heart!  (I could have told him this!:))  We have a very healthy active one here!
Paige has been busy with Jump rope club at school.  she goes 2 mornings a week at 7am and jumps her little heart out!! It is fun to watch her and she loves it!!

Blake has spent the last several months doing this....
This is his new passion, and he is doing great!  Blake made the Varsity team as a freshman. it was a great experience for him and he learned a lot!!  We learned all about making weight and eating lots of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!!  We're slowly learning the rules of this sport and sit on the edge of our seats as Blake wrestles and can't believe the strength it's gotta take to do this.  He's become pretty buff too, and he's not afraid to show off his muscles!!:)
I saved up for quite a while so that I could take the girls to see Wicked, and after months of waiting the day arived!!  We LOVED it, and Paige thinks that it needs to be a girl acitvity often, and I have to agree.  We had a blast!!  What a great show, and what even better company!!
Our very own and  Elphy and Glenda!:)
The same day we got to have a girls day, our neighborhood had a Daddy/Daughter Valentine's Dance.
They were picked up in a limo, and were given flowers, made cookies, danced and came home with goody bags and stuffed animals!  Grant said it was really put together well and they had a blast!! What a fun daddy-daughter date!!
The next weekend we were so lucky to have Sister Julie Beck and Elder Villereal come and speak at our Relief Society Women's conference.  Needless to say it was an amazingly spirit filled weekend. What an incredible lady with so much to teach.  I am still flying high from the things she taught us, and hope to apply some of the great things she taught us in my life.  It was awesome to get to take Megan to the Young Women meeting with her (even though she doesn't turn 12 till May), but i think Megan had a great experience, and she even got a hug from Sister Beck.  All in all we can not complain about life at all, and we feel so blessed!!  Even when things are not going quite as planned we can look at the amazing children we have, the great marraige and wonderful friends and family!!  Who could ask for more?!
