There hadn't been any snow in Boise yet, so this was a pleasant suprise for all. (We brought it with us of course!) We were all excited to see Grandma, Grandpa and Beckham, and had fun witnessing his first encounter with snow:)!
The kids had a blast building, sledding and playing in the snow!!
Beck already had to see everything Jason was doing, and Jason loved every minute of it. It was so fun to see Jason interact with him since he is the youngest! We loved spending time with Katie, Kyle, Beck and Mom and Dad. And of course Mom kept us fed...YUM!!The event that prompted our trip home was a hit!! Grandpa B. turned 80 and every one of the 7 kids and their spouses were there.!! We truely got to suprise Dad B., as we called an talked to him about how much we wished we could be there, the weather, his new cable system, and the like as we drove up to the house. When we snuck in the back door and around the corner, we all cried at the fun SUPRISE!! --Quick side story... Grandma sadly admitted that she had to flat out lie to her husband 2 times, and tell him that we just weren't going to be able to make it. We all laughed at this, but I so appreciated her integrity and faithfulness to her husband that made it difficult to lie to him. What a great example to us all after 50+ years of marraige!! Love you Mom B.!!
What a FUN,FUN, FUN time we had with all the family and the cousins!!
Here's the kid table...Paige, Gracey, Megan, Matthew, Drew, Hayden, Spencer, Brett, and Jason:)!
Hangin out in the kitchen, waitin for the feast with the 41 of us! Wow, what a crew!!
Gotta love the senior pics on the wall! Too bad I didn't get a close up of Grant's:)! Paige had her first realization of which one was her DAD! teehee!
Tha grown-up table...

The teenager table...yes, we had to have one of those:)! (Love it!)
the adult table extended into the entry way!
Because all the snow had melted, everyone got to do some grass sledding...an equally fun activity!
The kids also had to take a hike up to the water tower! (Thanks Aunt Kay for going with them!!)
This is Drew, Megan and Grace.
The kids all gathered for a movie on the big screen
And of course my boys had to initiate wrestling matches with all the cousins. Good ole Cade knew he had to stop when he was going to have to wrestle a girl cousin. Way to be a gentleman Cade!!
I think this is Jason and Spencer, or Hayden....can't tell which.
Blake and Justin...
We of course had to have the family photo shoot, and we all laughed because by the end, every family had a crying one.:)Now is that a passle of grandkids or what!? There were 5 grandkids, and 3 of their spouses missing.
Can you tell which one of ours was crying?:)
It was such an amazing day to see everyone again, and we were sad to see the weekend end and have to tell family goodbye again! It's so great to know that those family bonds are always and forever!!
We got to visit Dr. Rita's office and Paigey got her two front teeth fixed. Man how I miss that place!! It was so great to catch up with everyone there. It truely was the BEST place to work, and wish I could bring them all down here with me!
Then we were off to our next adventure. Bogus opened just for us!:) And the snow was beautiful!! Big smiles were all around! Meg started on a snowboard, but discovered that skis were a bit faster in many ways, so traded half way thru the day. She never hesitates to tell everyone that she had to pay for them though!!:)
I spent the day on the small hill with the 3 youngers and Grant and Blake skiied the whole mountain. We all had a blast, and it was just my speed. Needless to say, I wasn't half as sore as Grant the next day!
Could Blake's smile be any broader?
On the chair lift...
We had 2 different get togethers with the Grant family, and got to overlap visits with Aunt Gaye and Libby and her little Nolan who were visiting from Vegas. That was a Bonus!! Not sure how I managed not to have my camera with me at either!:( We also got to visit with Aunt Madge and Eric and Tracey and it was so fun to catch up! I definately think there needs to be a Hansen reunion in the works!!
We had such a great relaxing time visiting, eating, hanging out and watching movies with Grandma and Grandpa G. and T, Kyle and Beck. We appreciated their hospitality! We had a girls day at the mall and just enjoyed being together.
These are the only pics I got of Dad and Katie...how sad is that. We stayed with them and saw them every day and didn't even get enough pics. Sorry guys! We love you all none the less!!
Bowling with Beckham was a hoot!! He was the best cheering section ever!!
This was a way cool bowling alley T took us to. ("T" being my sister Katie for those who don't know:))
Me and my seester!
This was just too dang cute!!
We got to see out bestest friends, the Sayer's, and played a Borg vs. Sayer basketball game. Not only did they beat us with height (as anyone would), but they beat us with skill!:) But we all had a great time and EVERYONE got to make a basket for the team! It was awesome to catch up with them!!
We got to head back to the Borgs, and this time there was snow. Of course we forgot our snow gear this time, so out came the moonboots and hats from the closet.

Pictures hardly do it justice, but the kids can start on the hill and go all the way to the road. It is a LONG way and they love it!! (all but maybe the trek back up!)
Grandma got busy and made Jason a new blanket (because his other one was in serious need of retirement!). She had it done in no time flat, and It was a hit!!
Had to catch Blake in the act of doing dishes! So yes, he does know how for anyone who wanted to know:)!
Had some chill time with Grandma and Grandpa and were sure sad to say our good byes!! The pressure is on for Blake to get his Eagle now, so that we can fly them down to see us!!
Grant and Blake got to go to Brundage for another day of skiing with Bill and Andrew Seeley. Here is a link to a video that Andrew made of their ski trip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gW6G3ZsLct0 .(Blake is on the snowboard, Andrew on the skis.) The kids and I hung out at home. The kids all got a chance to see some of their friends from Nampa...the girls saw the Bradbeers. Jason got to see his buddy Bridger Weatherston (and I got to visit just a bit with his mom Jill!), and Blake crashed Young Men's and saw all his 8th ward buddies. We attended our old ward, and it made me feel as homesick as anything, because as we walked in late, Bishop Sharp told the whole ward we were there.:) There is nothing like the 8th ward!!
We felt so lucky that our neighbors and friends, the Roberts, had us over for one of Rick's amazing dinners. We, Grant especially, has missed this so much about living in Dallan Woods! Rick did not disappoint! Here he is in his element, with Wendy cleaning up behind him as always!:)
Poor Meg had a yucky stomach bug, and Wendy was "the host with the most" and made her feel right at home, and treated her like family...sick family:(. We sooo appreciated Wendy's hospitality! Paigey had a blast seeing Sydney again, and they picked up right where they left off. It was a great visit. (sorry Blaine and Josh, that I didn't get a picture of you! Grant didn't want to relive how much taller you are than him:)
Not only was it delicious, but it was beautiful!! We had yummy shrimp as an appitizer and had pork loin, scalloped potatoes, and an onion/tomato salad as our main dish. I know there were fancy names for everything, so I apologize for my simple mind Rick! It still tasted amazing!
We visited the mall and the blue and orange store more than once, and the kids still didn't get enough and had to stop in the airport and check out more Bronco gear!
Unfortunately we got on the plane in Boise to head home and then promptly had to get off again because they didn't have the screws they need to repair something on the plane, so 3 hours later, we were aboard another flight that would bring us back home. Crazy way to end our trip. Would have loved to have had 3 more hours to enjoy time with family!! Oh well!
Happy to finally be on our way!
And this is what met us back in Austin. Way to keep Austin weird!!
We had an amazing time and were sad to leave, but had that strange feeling of being displaced and needing to get "home". We couldn't help to feel blessed by all the amazing family and friends that we have and appreciate the time they took to see us while we were home. Thank you to all of you that have meant so much in our lives, and influenced us a kids with your goodness! Love you all!!

I'd like to say this post didn't make me cry...but that would be a lie! Don't worry though, a good cry. Just a little 'miss you' in there. It was so good to see you all! Come back soon for another visit!
